A Holmes Lumber Estimator performs material take-offs on residential commercial buildings.  Requires accurate knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the building construction industry.  A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company and customer service are necessary to this position.

Requirements to be Considered for the Position:

Experience with residential framing, siding, roofing2 years of experience in estimatingUnderstanding of home, pole building, garage, barn and deck componentsAbility to read blueprintsBuilding material sales experienceWorking knowledge of Professional Estimating SoftwareWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook

Responsibilities of the Position:

Estimating:

Performs material take-offs for residential and commercial designs from a variety of blueprints in a timely manner.Reviews construction documents and understands material to bid.Reviews and fixes potential inaccuracies in material lists.

Field Support:

Works directly with the outside sales representatives regarding all aspects of blueprints.Follows up with the status of take-offs and assists outside sales representatives in the selling of projects.
