SummaryThe Building Official will play a critical role in ensuring that construction projects comply with local, state, and federal building codes, zoning laws, and safety regulations. This position involves working closely with engineers, architects, contractors, and municipal authorities to oversee the permitting process, conduct inspections, and ensure that all projects meet the required standards, particularly in the context of geotechnical and structural aspects.

Physical Demands & Work Environment• Required to drive, stand, walk, use hands to type, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance, talk, and hear; body motions and movements include: bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, pulling, kneeling, lifting, carrying, and pushing • Lifting and/or moving up to thirty-five pounds regularly on average, and up to seventy-five pounds on occasion, with or without reasonable accommodation • This job is located in Florida, with exposure to intense sun, intense heat, humidity, rain, thunderstorms, and other adverse weather conditions • Job site conditions may or may not be accessible by vehicle and can include wetlands, swamps, grasslands, and fields with uneven surfaces, sand, brush, and other natural and man-made obstacles. • This job is primarily and regularly exposed to outside weather conditions and construction sites where the noise level is usually moderate to loud
