SUMMARY
BGIS is dedicated to safeguarding critical environments through advanced preventive maintenance and building automation systems. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Building Operator Technician with a strong foundation in Electrical and Mechanical to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a valid trade certificate and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Preventive Maintenance and Repair of HVAC System’s
Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts. Able to work independently with limited supervision. Knowledge of Alan Bradley Micro Logic 5000 Integration for enhanced control and automation. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of maintenance records, and incident reports. Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance of Machine Control Cabinets, Power Panels and building automation components. Installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment, including digital addressable lighting system, Maintenance of building automation systems including knowledge of Johnson Controls MetaSys Building environment platform.Communication and Documentation
Collaborate with coworker to address maintenance issue collectively. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, maintenance records.Best Practices Current Knowledge
Adhere to strict security protocols and confidentiality requirements. Take on new initiatives and challenges (quickly adapt to change) with a positive attitude; and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Proven experience as an Electrician and has extensive knowledge in mechnical attributes. In-depth knowledge of building automation systems, including proportional valve, VFD’s and access control security systems. Proficiency in PLC programming and integration with security systems. Understanding of building automation systems and their interaction with security infrastructure. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across multiple systems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation
