Full Jobs List Full Exams List Building Service Worker - Secure Facility Location: Rochester, NY Title: Building Service Worker - Secure Facility Deadline: Until Filled Salary: $36,617 - $43,876 annually Agency/Dept.: Sheriff's Office Description of Duties This is an entry-level labor position, located in the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office assigned to the Jail Maintenance Unit of a maximum security facility, responsible for performing a variety of cleaning duties. Work is routine in nature and involves following simple procedures and directions in accomplishing tasks under a variety of weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, and various work schedules. The employee works in secured areas in direct contact with incarcerated individuals being transported from one area of a facility to another. The employee reports directly to, and works under the direct supervision of, the Sheriff’s Facilities Maintenance Supervisor or other higher-level staff member who checks work for adequacy and compliance with agency standards.
