What You'll Do

 

The Building Systems Technology Designer works within the Technology Group to design intuitive audiovisual systems, dynamic wired and wireless communications infrastructure, local area networks and physical security.

 

Oversee the preparation of deliverables and documents including narratives, calculations, drawings and specification Effectively communicate design options to a diverse stakeholder group Utilize extensive knowledge of converged infrastructure and ability to lead the design of telecom, audiovisual, security, healthcare and other technology systems Complete the project within the budget and schedule Work within a team environment to ensure clients standards are met and that technology systems are incorporated into the overall building design Employ detailed knowledge of building codes and technology industry standards, as well as knowledge of other disciplines and interdisciplinary coordination Perform calculations and equipment selection Provide opinions of probable construction costs Perform site visits and issues reports Edit/write specifications; provide input into standards Provide high level engagement with Audiovisual, Security and Telecom vendors for purpose of product education and industry best practices Contribute to building performance simulation as it relates to the technology design

 

What You Bring

College Degree or equivalent experience CTS, RCDD, PSP preferred Minimum of 2-4 years as Designer 2 or 3-5 years total related work experience CAD/Revit Calculation and performance simulation software such as iBwave wireless design, EASE acoustic simulation Advanced understanding of technology design concepts Thorough understanding of project phases and their associated deliverables Problem solving and analysis Ability to delegate Effective written and verbal communication skills Microsoft Office Suite

What We Offer 

 

Hiring Base Salary Range: $66,500 - $89,000 annual  This position is eligible for time and a half overtime pay 

 

The base salary is one component of PAE’s competitive compensation package for employees. We take into consideration a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, internal equity and geographic location in determining exact salary offered. At PAE, roles are eligible for additional rewards, including salary increases and annual bonuses based on individual performance. The above range represents PAE's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
