Building Tech II
**Position Summary:** Maintains, installs, and repairs the interior and exterior components of the building structure. **Position Performance Area/Expectations** **:** **Interior Maintenance/Repair** + Performs tasks that include window, drywall, ceiling, door, floor, and furniture repairs as assigned. Performs minor electrical and plumbing tasks when needed. + Performs preventive maintenance as indicated in the Computerized Maintenance Management System or directed by Facilities Management Leadership within the established timeframe. + Initiates orders for supplies needed; estimates labor and materials to complete all assignments, as requested, staying within budget. **Exterior Maintenance** + Repairs roofs, gutters, windows, exterior wall finishes, walkways and architectural details. **Safety** + Utilizes Personal Protective Equipment + Maintains a safe and clean environment. + Follows safety standards in performing all work. **Team Support** + Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills. + Completes other duties when assigned. + Removes snow and ice during winter. **Record Keeping/Data Entry** + Accurately records repairs and preventive maintenance activity in the CMMS system. + Records inventory materials and repair parts used. Maintains department inventory. **Requirements:** + High School/GED diploma preferred. + Minimum of 5 years’ experience in carpentry, ceiling, wall, window, doors, door hardware repairs. + Must be physically able to use power tools, ladders, scaffolding and lift 50 pounds. $ 25.95 - $38.93 Hourly RUSH salaries are determined by many factors including, but not limited to, education, job-related experience and skills, as well as internal equity and industry specific market data.
