Building and Grounds Maintenance Job Purpose or Scope: Maintain and clean building interior and groundsMajor Responsibilities:Grounds upkeep such as cleaning shop area, parts room, cleaning shop equipment, cutting grass, trimming bushes, snow removal and keeping parking lot clean.Facility upkeep such as taking out trash, cleaning the offices, restrooms, mopping floors, sinks, mirrors, and toilets. Replacing paper towels and toilet paper. Painting and repairing walls.Perform minor building and equipment repairs as neededPerform other duties or tasks as assigned.Describe level of decision making and list examples of common decisions made: Ability to use diplomacy and tact in dealing with supervisors, peers and the general public. Experience & Skills Required:Ability to adapt to change and have an excellent attendance and work record. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:Work schedules will include Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays in accordance with business needs. Must have the ability to climb, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl when required. Must have good visual ability in order to complete tasks. Area may be warm in the summer and cold in the winter.Utility staff is subject to dust, dirt, grease and vehicle exhaust fume conditions. Nothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
