Job Purpose and Impact

The Bulk Loader Unloader and Rail Operator I, will operate equipment or engines to bring rail cars into the yard and prepare trucks, railcars and barges for loading and unloading bulk materials following established policies and procedures and frequent guidance. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring material movement and storage operations are completed adhering to policies and procedures to ensure all safety and regulatory policies are followed.

Key Accountabilities Operate powered equipment or engines for bringing and moving rails cars into and through the yard.Complete manual procedures to prepare rail cars for loading and unloading such as opening lids, opening rail car gates, hooking hoists to cover barges, hooking pumps and positioning pumps with frequent guidance.Perform ingredient testing and collect product samples.Complete loading or unloading inspections, documentation and process quality records both manually and electronically.Understand and adhere to all safety policies and procedures including equipment lockout tag outs.Drive semi-trucks to be loaded or offloaded with bulk materials as required by location.Other duties as assignedQualifications Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in CanadaCargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years oldAbility to perform physical job duties which may include bending, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
