Job Description Faststream is recruiting for a leading trader of marine fuels and lubricants and they are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bunker Trader to join their client's team in Florida. We are looking for a candidate with an existing portfolio of suppliers and customers in South America and/or Central America.
Duties include:
Sourcing and purchasing bunker fuels from various suppliers in the market Negotiating with suppliers to secure competitive prices and favorable payment terms Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders Monitoring market trends and developments to identify opportunities for growth and improvement Staying up-to-date with industry regulations and ensuring compliance with internal procedures Providing timely and accurate information and pricing to internal and external parties Collaborating with other departments to ensure a seamless delivery of services to clients. Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Maritime Business, Economics, or Supply Chain Management Minimum of 2 years of experience in bunker trading or a related field Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills Existing South American / Central American portfolio of customers & suppliers Excellent verbal and written communication skills The ability to speak Spanish and/or Portuguese as well as English, would be a significant advantage Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with shipping and trading software Good knowledge of the bunker industry, regulations, and market trends The company offer a highly competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for career development and growth within the company.
