As a Business Analyst Advisor within PNC's Finance Project Management team within our Shared Services organization, you can sit in Pittsburgh, PA.

This role will partner with project sponsors to quickly and efficiently become knowledgeable with the subject matter on assigned initiatives while becoming SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) themselves. They will provide support through the life of a project beginning with the discovery meetings through implementation into production while also identifying opportunities for improvement, evaluating known pain points and process redesigns with the goal of increasing productivity. Possessing a “get-it-done” mentality, they will promote the use of interdisciplinary expertise and will engage appropriate resources throughout the life of a project.

In this role, they may develop testing strategies and plans with the project working team to ensure process enhancements, known issue resolutions and/or new software or technology tools function as expected. They ensure that the execution of testing is complete, while also analyzing test results and presenting findings to the project working team. They organize and develop remediation strategies for production issues and provide temporary post go-live support.

Additionally, a Business Analyst will perform various ad hoc duties as projects warrant and will apply skills in a consulting role when applicable.

A Business Analyst in this role will:

• Provide high quality Finance SME services for assigned projects to ensure consistency and quality in the delivery of business objectives leveraging the methodology and best practices.

• Lead, manage, develop and perform testing plans for various work streams.

• Provide Project Implementation Support including Process Management, Project Management, Effectiveness Measurement.

• Successfully lead projects and initiatives through completion and implementation into Production.

• Provide leadership for the effective management of Finance projects.

• Provide financial accounting support to the Finance Projects under the domain of the FPMO

• Provide Consulting, Business Case Justification, Requirements Analysis on assigned projects.

• Challenge executive and business sponsors to clearly identify the value of each initiative.

• Ensure accounting practices of the business are appropriate and collaborates with Accounting Policy on implementation of new accounting standards that impact the business.

• Identify and escalate key risks to management.

• Promptly identify and address control matters; maintains sound control processes.

• Organize requirements effort, including resources, monitoring, project coordination, and managing changes.

• Ensure solution requirements are understood and fulfilled by the technical design and provide support for their implementation.

• Establish and maintain relationships with the Finance key stakeholders.

Job DescriptionDirects the research, discovery, collection and interpretation of business requirements. Participates in the development and review of complex processes and procedures, workflow analytics and reporting. May provide senior level consultation and communicates with clients and technology teams on business designs, problem solving and business analysis to support project goals and objectives.Consults and recommends the frameworks, methodologies and processes involved in business requirements traceability for business analysis teams. Independently mentors, leads, and coaches other associates to affect knowledge transfer. Oversees the development and maintenance of all applicable policy and procedure documentation.Translates business needs, processes and/or procedures by partnering with applicable experts and business stakeholders to determine and articulate needs. May communicate with senior level stakeholders and technology teams on  complex business requirements.Leads multiple business analysis project management processes through planning, quality assurance and effectiveness assessment. Provides direction for the successful deployment of projects. Drives the development, analysis and distribution of complex reporting.
