Bus Driver - Hourly Public Safety and Transportation JOB SUMMARY: The mission of the Adelphi University Department of Public Safety and Transportation is to enhance the quality of life for the entire Adelphi community by maintaining a secure and open environment where the safety of all is balanced with the rights of the individual. SALARY INFORMATION: In compliance with New York’s Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this position is $16.75. RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: + Provide transportation of students, faculty, staff, and visitors to various areas of Long Island and the Metropolitan region,such as the Hempstead Bus Terminal, local LIRR stations, local shopping areas, and various trip across Long Island and NYC. + Additional assignments as directed. Schedules may change based on the needs of the department. EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: + CDL License, Class B with P endorsement required. + Knowledge of local and metropolitan area preferred. + Clean driving record is required. + Pre-employment drug testing is required. HOURS: + Monday and Tuesday, 5pm to 11pm. + Wednesday and Thursday, 5pm to 11pm. + Saturday and Sunday, 3pm to 9pm.
