Full-time: 40 hours

Pay: $21.55 per hour

Location: Main Campus, 3700 “O” Street, Washington, DC

Job Overview

The Bus Driver II has duties that include but are not limited to:

Coordinates all maintenance activities with the University maintenance facility and any external maintenance vendors, including determining and scheduling required maintenanceProvides oversight for weekend charter operations including assigning drivers and vehicles.Operates all sizes of University transit vehicles along all published routes and scheduled charters in compliance with local, federal and University regulations governing transit vehicle operations to provide safe and efficient mass transit operations for the Georgetown University community.

Work Interactions

Reporting to the Deputy Director of Transportation Management, the Bus Driver II interacts with 10 to 15 Bus Drivers II working in full-time and part-time positions.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalencyAt least 6 months of experience operating passenger buses and vans or similar public service and 6 months of dispatch experience OR an equivalent combination of training and experienceA Commercial Driver’s License – Class B - with air brake qualifications and passenger endorsement from jurisdiction in which the incumbent residesAbility to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
