BUS DRIVER DUTIES As a Bus Driver, your primary responsibility is to operate a bus safely and efficiently, ensuring the secure transportation services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities t o and from designated locations. Maintaining a high standard of safety is a critical part of the job, which includes performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, securing passengers using appropriate safety equipment. Equally important is your ability to provide friendly and respectful customer service. You interact daily with passengers, families, and staff, often serving as a familiar and trusted presence. Punctuality and professionalism are key, as you are expected to follow established transportation schedules to ensure program operations run smoothly. In the event of any mechanical malfunctions or other issues arising during transportation, you are required to promptly communicate and report the problem. Shifts are Monday - Friday with morning and afternoon routes. This position earns a competitive wage of $20.00-$21.00/hour. BUS DRIVER QUALIFICATIONS + Class C CDL with passenger endorsement + Ability to earn 19A Certification + SCR clearance Within 90 days of hire, you are also required to complete training regarding First Aid and CPR, HIPAA compliance, and various human development and disability topics.
