The Business Advisor, Small and Medium Business Solutions, BDC Advisory Services, plays a key role in supporting sales to the business development teams first, and then alternatively, by managing the delivery of solutions, managing a network of external consultants and developing expertise to ensure the continuous updating of solutions. To do this, the incumbent of this position works closely with the Financing business development teams as well as with other Advisory Services stakeholders.
**CHALLENGES TO BE MET**
+ Provide sales support for Small Business Solutions and Essentials to the business development teams. To this end, maintain regular communications with business center managers to contribute to the development of their teams' autonomy with SMBS solutions and provide support where relevant in this regard. Sales support activities include organizing training activities, participating in team and individual meetings, collaborating in the preparation of calls with clients, participating in calls with clients, facilitating content at events or conferences, etc.
+ Manage a portfolio of advisory services projects and ensure their proper execution including scope, budget, schedule, expected objectives, and quality assurance control of projects.
+ Collaborate with expert colleagues to update solutions and get support when expertise becomes a key element in identifying the right approach or resolving a situation with a client.
+ Work closely with the network of external consultants responsible for delivery to guarantee the efficient operation and high standards of the services delivered.
+ Act as a resource person for BDC Advisory Services to help financing teams meet client needs and manage the client experience, particularly in handling complaints.
+ Contribute to the development of the reputation of BDC Advisory Services by helping to promote the offer to the internal network and also during various events or on social networks.
**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**
+ Bachelor's degree in commerce, business administration or a related discipline. A MBA or any other professional designation is an asset.
+ 5 to 7 years of experience in business development, client portfolio management, advisory services, or any combination of equivalent relevant experience.
+ Demonstrated success in selling advisory services solutions, ideally in the small and medium-sized business segment.
+ Demonstrated understanding of the business environment and the SME ecosystem and ability to identify business needs and identify relevant solutions to address issues.
+ Ability to manage and execute projects.
+ Excellent communication skills, relationship development and ability to facilitate content in front of an audience, participate in outreach, promotion and business development activities.
+ Team spirit and collaboration.
+ Bilingualism: French and English
The position will be located in the Montreal area with travel to the business centers of the greater Montreal. Travel is also to be expected in the Quebec region from time to time.
