This position serves in a support & advisory role to assist management in meeting strategic and operational goals, with a focus on financial performance. Primary responsibilities include:
- Work with management to prepare annual budget
- Review reports prepared by the Level I Advisor & focus efforts on key items
- Meet with directors to identify issues impacting departmental performance, enhance variance explanations and projections
- Participate in work teams to improve the budget preparation process and other financial and operational processes
- Provide financial and system related education and training to all levels of management
- Maintain knowledge of healthcare finance issues
EDUCATION/SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or Computer Science/Systems Analysis or equivalent work experience.
- 5 or more years work experience in a corporate finance setting, either in healthcare or some other industry.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Access, Project)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good knowledge and understanding of methodologies and tools used for budgeting and forecasting
