Business Analysis Specialist Job Req ID: 43800 Posting Date: 6 Feb 2025 Function: Corporate Functions Unit: Finance & Business Services Location: 12 Bannerghatta Road, Bengaluru, India Salary: competitive The Business Analysis Specialist supports GBS by executing a range of workstreams in delivering business analysis activities across GBS driving contribution to The BT Group strategies, ensuring accurate analysis on profitability, efficiency, effectiveness and potential of activities, investments and initiatives across the BT Group and supports the full delivery life cycle of transformation projects. **Accountabilities** 1. Drives the analysis of historical and current processes/solutions to business problems providing functional/technical/domain expertise to identify, evaluate and develop systems and applications that are cost-effective and meet user requirements and align with BT strategy. 1. Conducts complex analysis of business needs and solutions supporting leadership in the development of strategies, facilitates stakeholder collaboration effectively and efficiently. 1. Collaborates with internal stakeholders and help execute a business technology strategy that meets user expectations, provide operational and process efficiency, and builds team knowledge. 1. Responsible for turning business requirements into technical requirements. 1. Responsible for ensuring functional designs received meet the business needs. 1. Work with operations to ensure transformation projects have acceptance criteria that fully tests the capability being delivered 1. Collaborates with operational and technical delivery teams to ensure that as is and to be internal processes are documented appropriately as well as any external facing documentation is well informed. 1. Assesses data and performs regressions and other statistical analyses to help identify meaningful data relationships, key performance indicators, and key risk indicators. 1. Assesses key metrics and analytics that will allow management to clearly understand outcomes achieved against expectations, delivering insightful analysis and recommendations to optimise results 1. Define and manage data cleanse activity for migration projects 1. Assesses business risk and issues, details business impact creating mitigation plans which feed into the overall transformation project. 1. Provide post go live support to a high quality, responding to operational queries relating to design etc are promptly resolved 1. Ensures positive change throughout the full project lifecycle, from the initial benefits case through to detailed scoping/design, operational readiness and to support benefits realisation once live. 1. Mentor other Business Analysis professionals, helping to improve the team’s abilities by acting as a technical resource and coach ensuring the Business Analysts adopt best practice, providing training where appropriate. 1. Champions, continuously develops and shares with team knowledge on emerging trends and changes in Business Analysis. **Why this job matters** The Project/Programme Manager executes and coordinates a range of workstreams in the planning, execution and delivery of complex projects/ programmes through all specific phases, in alignment with BT Group strategies and external customer contractual requirements. Partners with BT Group and executive stakeholders within a single or across multiple business units. **What you’ll be doing** 1. Works with an integrated team in the delivery of end-to-end projects/ programmes contributing to commercial benefit, deliver on time, within budget and to agreed quality criteria from conception through to market launch and transition into operations. 2. Monitors issue escalations, project risks, dependencies and project changes, ensuring timely intervention and communication to stakeholders. 3. Consults on complex projects/ programmes using advanced technical knowledge with global impact (cross-functional) driving through execution, analysis, recommendation and implementation. 4. Contributes to the development, documentation and implementation of projects/ programmes and change initiatives in line with BT Group policies and strategies, defining and maintaining realistic project plans and monitoring project finances and progress against agreed quality and performance criteria. 5. Supports project/ programme communication with stakeholders with timely reporting on performance and where decision making is required, providing all information needed to enable well-informed decision making. 6. Defines, documents and executes smaller or less complex projects/ programmes, agreeing and reviewing project approach, engagement and communications plans, and quality and performance criteria with project partners. 7. Champions, continuously develops and shares with team knowledge on emerging trends and changes in Project/Programme Management & PMO, e.g., agile methodologies such as LEAN, Six Sigma. 8. Mentors other Project/Programme Management & PMO professionals, helping to improve the team's abilities by acting as a technical resources 9. Influences stakeholders inside and if required outside of BT Group: work collaboratively with business unit partners and corporate support teams to drive strategy execution and partner on segment or functional strategy projects. 10. Proactively identifies and manages risk through regular assessment and diligent execution of controls and mitigations, proactively raising any concerns. 11.
