Business Analyst, Entertainment PXT
Amazon.com
Amazon has a culture of data-driven decision-making and demands business intelligence that is timely, accurate, and actionable. We are looking for a talented and experienced Business Analyst to join the Entertainment People eXperience and Technology (PXT) organization.
About the Role:
Business Analysts are responsible for converting data into actionable business insights. They are analysis experts who leverage a variety of data platforms and analytical tools to provide timely, meaningful, and consumable information. They build deep contextual and domain knowledge. They ensure data quality and build scalable tools. They communicate findings with the most effective and influential methods.
In this role, you will work directly with cross-functional teams across Entertainment and other parts of Amazon, operating as both a builder and influencer. You will design and build automated reports and dashboards using large and complex data lake/warehouse environments. You will build proof-of-concept reporting tools while scaling ad-hoc data artifacts, enabling the Entertainment HR and business teams to self-serve and make informed decisions in fast-paced, ambiguous businesses. You will perform multiple complex and business critical analyses that serve major parts of the Entertainment organization, using existing data and research to identify new challenges and opportunities, as well as data collected through methods you create and define. You should have strong analytical and verbal and written communication skills, and work with HR and business teams to define key business questions and build data sets and models that answer them.
A successful candidate will have a passion for innovation, interest in advanced technology, and excitement about working in a high-impact domain. You work very efficiently and routinely deliver the right things. You show strong analysis, making technical trade-offs between short-term and long-term business needs. When confronted with discordant views, you find the best way forward and convince your stakeholders. This role is inherently cross-functional -- you will work closely HR business partners, program managers, data engineers, business analysts, and other partners across Amazon. You should be comfortable working in a dynamic environment and seek data-driven decision-making.
About the Business:
The role is part of the Amazon People eXperience and Technology (PXT) organization – we build a workplace for Amazonians to invent and deliver on behalf of customers. The Entertainment PXT team focuses on the inputs that attract, grow, and retain creative, technical, and business talent at scale. • Manage stakeholder requirements and feature requests. Interface with large group of customers across multiple teams and functions, gathering requirements and delivering complete reporting solutions.
• Prioritize between multiple requests and communicate clearly to stakeholders about any challenges and project delivery.
• Partner with cross functional business teams to consult, develop, and implement metrics. Automate reporting solutions and process improvements to meet business needs.
