We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Guidewire Professional Services Team, which combines expertise in insurance with software implementation skills to lead transformative projects for our customers.
As a Business Analyst, you will collaborate with the wider Guidewire ecosystem to drive process improvements and create future-proof solutions aligned with industry trends. In this key role, you will be a trusted advisor, shaping business models while mentoring and guiding internal teams. Your ability to connect business objectives with technical, UX, and testing requirements will be key to ensuring successful project outcomes. Key ResponsibilitiesRequirements: Provides continuous requirements refinement and is the conduit for Services solutions. Analysis: Delivers analysis, problem resolution and provides recommendations for process improvement.Consultant: Consult with customer facing and value optimization departments to lead transformation initiatives, aligning business objectives with innovative solutions using the Guidewire Cloud Platform.Business Impact: Develops business cases, conduct gap analysis, and measure the business impact of implemented solutions, ensuring the highest value for customers.Communication: Will communicate issues clearly and credibly with widely varied audiences and help to derive solutions.Leadership: Mentors junior team members, sets standards for best practices in requirements gathering, documentation, and process design.Key SkillsLanguages: Fluent business level English is essential. Domain Knowledge: Strong background and consultation experience in at least one insurance process in the claims, or policy administration / underwriting areas.Software Implementation: Proven track record of leading large-scale software implementation projects, with expertise in translating complex business requirements into detailed functional specifications.Problem Solving & Strategic Thinking: Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to navigate and solve complex problems and business challenges.Stakeholder Management & Negotiation: Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, gain buy-in for solutions, and resolve issues across different departments.Business Value Expertise: Experience in developing business cases, conducting gap analysis, and measuring the business impact of Services solutions.Agile Leadership: Expertise in adapting Agile methodologies to meet the needs of large, complex projects and guiding colleagues through Agile frameworks.Preferred SkillsLanguages: Additional language skills are highly valued for working in global markets. Domain Expertise: Additional expertise in multi faceted insurance processes including underwriting, claims, or policy administration. Proven ability to work with insurance carriers and implementation partners.Design Thinking: Experience in Design Thinking practices to drive customer-centric, innovative and future-proof solutions.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.4-10 years of experience in insurance or technology-related roles.Deep knowledge of the insurance value chain, particularly in front-office and mid-office processes.Expertise in leading implementation projects and providing innovative, customer-centric solutions.Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence.Strong communication skills and the ability to work across technical and business teams.
