Position OverviewA KTG Business Analyst is on the front line when it comes to managing our products. They serve as the key link between our business and the internal and external IT professionals that develop, implement, and support our products. With that in mind, a Business Analyst is responsible for performing data analysis, identify business needs, defines requirements, document processes and procedures, and advises on way to be more efficient. This Business Analyst will become part of a delivery team, partnering with a Product Owner and working with a development team to deliver a solution to the business.

This position is in our Lenexa, Kansas office. The work schedule is onsite Monday - Friday 8am – 5pm.
Responsibilities• Experience as a business analyst or equivalent experience in the engineering and construction industry and/or equivalent domain experience relevant to engineering and construction product(s).
• Experience with agile software development practices
• Experience with Azure Dev Ops (VSTS)
• Experience managing backlog items including creation of User Stories, Bugs, and Defects
• Experience prioritizing and maintaining a prioritized backlog
• Experience performing User Acceptance Testing and facilitating Stakeholder testing and training
• Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Demonstrated success in up-front requirements gathering techniques, including user interviews, workshops, and data analysis to minimize rework throughout a project.
• Ability to synthesize and articulate complex concepts targeted at multiple audiences.
• Experience working closely with a variety of teams including product management, UI and UX designers, QA, and developers.
• Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyze and document complex business processes
• You will leverage your traditional Agile BA expertise in requirements gathering, user story creation, detailed documentation, and process mapping to ensure a clear and achievable product roadmap.
• Partner closely with developers, tech leads, and QAs throughout the iterative development process. This includes collaborating on user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and facilitating effective communication across all levels.
• Technology product certification(s) and/or related training certifications, a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
•4-year degree in business, MIS, computer sciences, computer information systems, engineering or equivalent is recommended.
•This is an entry level position, seeking 0-3 years of experience
•Familiar with agile software development practices
•Familiar with Azure Dev Ops (VSTS) or a similar tool
•Self-starter with excellent analytical, communication, and problem solving skills
•Effective oral and written communication skills
•Ability to work under pressure and multi- task
•Technology product certification(s) and/or related training certifications, a plus.
