Overview:

The ISS ESG Data Solutions team is developing cutting edge data driven solutions for the responsible investment market based on high-quality Corporate Governance and ESG data and analysis. As part of the overall ESG Products team, the focus of the Data Solutions team is to develop and further enhance market leading Governance products such as Governance QualityScore as well as Director and Compensation, and to further integrate other ISS ESG data sets into innovative data solutions for investors.

The team is seeking a corporate governance subject-matter expert and business analyst to help drive the growth of our Governance Data Solutions. The ESG Business Analyst is responsible for building the technical roadmap to support Corporate Governance and Data-related offerings from ISS ESG.

Responsibilities:Create and maintain all internal and external technical documentation for governance data productsDevelop and document business rules and controlsDesign and adhere to documentation standards across all product linesUtilize subject matter expertise and technical knowledge to support change management and impact assessmentsAssist in the planning, execution, and communication of new products or existing product enhancements to help drive business growthPerform root cause analyses by leveraging subject matter expertise and technical knowledge, develop remediation and mitigation strategies, and coordinate across the greater ISS business for resolutionEngage with various internal product stakeholders and communicate product features, enhancements, and functionalityGrow subject-matter expertise globally

QualificationsGraduate of bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant working experienceExperience in corporate governance with deep knowledge in at least one specific country or regionExperience in business analysis including but not limited to a focus in process engineering and documentationFamiliarity and/or desire to learn SQL programming and other technical languages.Strong project management, organizational, and/or multi-tasking skillsOutstanding writing, communication, presentation, and strong interpersonal skillsDemonstrated problem-solving skillsAbsolute personal and business integrityWillingness to be on a traditional shift
