General Description Manage, analyze and provide financial and accounting analysis to support business and budget annual plans for the Corporate & Public Affairs Group. Manage the financial and accounting operations of the Fundación Banco Popular, Popular Foundation and Casa de Niños Popular. Monitor, analyze expenses and provide insights to assure goal accomplishment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage the Social Commitment Division Financial analysis process. Perform a comprehensive analysis of all the financial and non-financial information that comes out of the Division. Prepare and complete a comprehensive analysis of Popular’s total community investment. Monitor, reconcile and analyze bank accounts, account receivables, accounts and interest net accruals, accounts and grants payable. Posting journal entries into GL system. Prepare and analyze monthly cashflows and financial statements. Perform projections monitoring and forecasting. Monitor, reconcile and forecast the Corporate Communications& Public Affair Group budget. Analyze operating, communications and community expense, identify trends and variances. Analyze monthly expenses against forecast and budget, providing explanations and recommendations. Assist in the annual planning process to align Divisions’ strategic projects with Budget recommendations. Identify over/under-budget areas of opportunity.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting, Finance or related field.

Experience At least four years related experience in one of the following: business analysis, budgeting process and monitoring and/or accounting process. Certifications / Licenses (Nice to have) Business Analyst CertificationPMPMicrosoft Certified Professional (MCP)Other Qualifications Strong analytical skills and attention to details (Financial Data and business analysis with the ability to establish conclusions). High level of organization to establish priorities, simultaneously work with multiple tasks, and meet deadlines. Ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (intermediate/advanced level) and Spanish (advanced level). Ability to present and interact with all levels of management including executive leadership. Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point.Proven experience with Power BI and Dashboards. Prepare compelling presentations Ability to manage urgent and potentially conflicting priorities Ability to handle and protect sensitive information in a confidential and professional manner Interpersonal and teamwork skills.  Ability to establish good relations with internal and external groups.
