Main Job Purpose

Analysis and Solution Definition

Defines and documents customer business functions and processes. Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans. Consults with functional unit management and personnel to identify, define and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, and levels of systems access. Acts as a liaison between business users and technical team in the analysis, design, configuration, testing and maintenance of applications to ensure optimal operational performance. Analyzes the feasibility of, and develops requirements for, new systems and enhancements to existing systems; ensures the system design fits the needs of the users. Collaborate with project managers, developers, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance. Identifies opportunities for improving business processes through information systems and/or non-system driver changes; assists in the preparation of proposals to develop new systems and/or operational changes.

Technical Documentation

Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver standard artifacts or templates as needed Business/Functional Requirements Document, Business Impact Analysis, User Stories Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs, User Guides and Walkthrough Documents Provide system documentation on assigned software/applications. Project Execution Assist in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules. Assist in the development of project definitions, cost/benefit and risk analysis, work plans, progress reports, and presentations Mentor developers for project development task and issues; Prepare policies and procedures / incident reports / change request / work-in-progress reports to keep management, users and the team informed of projects issues; Facilitate User Acceptance Testing; Problems/Issues Analysis and Isolation; Training of End Users and creation of end user documentation; Monitoring and documentation of all changes
