Business Analyst

This role involves analyzing and resolving issues within financial systems, designing automated workflows, reports, and dashboards using Microsoft Access and Office 365 products, including PowerBI, Power Automate, and Power App, that enhance data visibility and operational efficiency, and generating and monitoring reports in ERP systems like Oracle and SAP. It also includes documenting business processes, generating system status reports, and performing system testing and data analysis. Additionally, the role requires collaborating with cross-functional teams and assisting project managers with planning and reporting.

Responsibilities:

Process and operations

Analyze recurring issues within the financial systems and interfaces. Support colleagues in addressing them.

Leverage Microsoft Access and Office 365 products, including PowerBI and Power Automate, to execute the design of automated workflows, reports, and dashboards that enhance data visibility and operational efficiency.

Support the monitoring of performance and functionality of finance-related systems, including Oracle, SAP, BPC, and BlackLine

Participate in documenting and analyzing existing business processes, highlighting areas for improvement.

Develop and maintain documentation related to system processes, configurations, issue resolutions, and best practices, ensuring a centralized knowledge base

Quality control

Assist in the generation of comprehensive reports on system status, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs).

Participate in the testing of system updates, enhancements, and integrations. Give inputs for implementation based on learnings

Support data collection and analysis efforts based on business needs

Stakeholder and project management

Be a dedicated member of the support community for finance system users, providing a centralized platform for issue reporting, knowledge sharing, and best practice discussions.

Assist in gathering requirements and system needs through collaboration with cross-functional teams

Assist in supporting any coding requirements related to system enhancements or automation efforts

Provide support to project managers in project planning, tracking, and reporting.

Expectations:

Bachelor's degree or 0-2 years of relevant experience

Some experience with MS Office products

Familiarity with coding languages is a plus.

Strong analytical mindset

Working with financial software systems, including Oracle, SAP, BPC, and BlackLine is preferred. Certification in these systems is an advantage

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Familiarity with business analysis concepts and practices is a plus
