Business Analyst – Full Time-Direct Placement Compensation: Annual Salary up to $40,000 plus benefits (commensurate with experience). Location: Remote work (sometimes reporting to central offices in San Juan PR) Company Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our client, a leading behavioral health organization in Puerto Rico. They provide recovery-oriented services to over 1.3 million lives through Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial plans, leveraging a 19-year history and an innovative provider network. Position Description: The Business Analyst will act as a crucial liaison between business units and IT, eliciting, analyzing, and documenting requirements for changes to business processes, policies, and information systems. This role requires strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with a commitment to delivering effective solutions within the healthcare industry. Responsibilities:
+ Requirements Elicitation & Analysis: Serve as a liaison between business units and IT departments, eliciting, analyzing, communicating, and validating requirements for changes to business processes, policies, and information systems.
+ Solution Design: Connect business owners and IT technical resources to develop realistic solutions for contract requirements, workflows, and business needs.
+ Training & Implementation: Participate in the design, development, and delivery of software applications training programs. Coordinate with IT managers and non-technical business units to define and implement the support structure for business projects.
+ Financial Support: Support the Finance Manager in providing joint, reusable, and shared strategic and tactical solutions.
+ Project Coordination: Collaborate with internal IT staff to coordinate delivery schedules and ensure timely and within-budget delivery of services and goods.
+ Change Management: Work closely with other departments to anticipate changes in functionality and priorities.
+ Project Tracking & Reporting: Gather and assess strategic operational project status, issues, risks, and dependencies.
+ Compliance: Comply with all guidelines established by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) and other applicable regulatory agencies.
Qualifications:
+ Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to solve problems.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate thoughts and ideas.
+ Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
+ Proven problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
+ Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
+ Demonstrated ability to produce highly accurate, detail-oriented work.
+ Experience in the healthcare industry, particularly with Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial plans, is a plus.
Education:
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 2+ years of experience in information systems.
