Business Analyst

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter to join our dynamic team in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Canada. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in business analysis, with a strong focus on insurance domain projects and Guidewire PolicyCenter implementations. Preference will be given to candidates who are Guidewire Certified.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements for Guidewire PolicyCenter implementations and enhancements. Work closely with technical teams, including developers and QA, to ensure business requirements are accurately translated into technical solutions. Facilitate workshops, interviews, and requirement gathering sessions to identify business needs and process improvements. Define and document functional specifications, user stories, and process workflows. Act as a liaison between business users and IT teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment. Assist in system configuration, UAT testing, and defect resolution for Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions. Provide support during deployment, training, and post-implementation phases to ensure successful adoption. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in Guidewire and the P&C insurance industry.

 

Required Skills & Experience:

5-8 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the P&C insurance domain. Strong expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter (implementation, enhancement, or support). Experience in business process modeling, requirement gathering, and documentation. Ability to work with cross-functional teams including business, IT, and third-party vendors. Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and reporting tools is an asset. Guidewire Certification (PolicyCenter) is highly preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
