Business AnalystPosition Overview
The Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing business requirements, procedures, and challenges to enhance and improve existing business systems. This role focuses on identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to optimize business operations.
Role will primarily focus on territory design, collaborating with Divisional Vice Presidents (DVPs) and Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs) to create optimal territory-to-customer relationships. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient and effective coverage of territories to maximize customer engagement and sales performance.
The role involves designing, building, and maintaining analyses where fragmented data resides in disconnected systems. Utilizing information discovery and report-building tools, the position is ideal for individuals passionate about transforming data into actionable insights and supporting business analysis.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with DVPs and RVPs to analyze and design sales territories.
Develop strategies to optimize territory alignment and customer relationships.
Utilize data and analytics to assess territory performance and make recommendations for improvements.
Manage the loading and implementation of territory changes.
Proactively consult with Residential organization to identify, analyze and document current operational procedures, problems, and requirements. E.g. data sources, how information is to be summarized, or other outputs to achieve business results
Ability to develop/design accurate emailed reports and dashboards using Business Information (BI) tools
Create self-service tools and applications which includes the overall design, scripting the data pulls, and laying out an effective user experience based on end-user requirements
Identify, evaluate, and document data sources against requirements
Test and troubleshoot to ensure work is consistent with defined needs
Generate custom reports summarizing business or financial data for review by executives, managers, sales force, and other internal customers
Utilize existing documentation and/or training to run and troubleshoot monthly profitability calculations
Requirements:
Knowledge of information flows pertaining to sales analysis as well as financial analysis
Self-motivated and capable of managing own tasks
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools.
Ability to adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organization skills
Proven experience in territory design, sales operations, or a similar role.
Proficiency in Excel, Power Query
Preferred Skills:
2+ years of Business Intelligence experience in developing reports and/or applications
Knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and query tools
Power BI
