Business Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role will support the Project Manager directly across several functional areas (30 % technical writing, 20 % software testing, and 50 % project management support).

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop/edit clear and concise technical documentation, manuals, and reports that comply with military documentation standards. Develop briefing material utilizing input from various stakeholders.Support web application testing utilizing test plans and procedures.Collaborate with the management team to enter, refine, or update project work items in software such as JIRA.Support the Project Manager across areas such as strategic product planning; process design to enable all SDLC stages; backlog grooming & ticket refinement; reporting on & analyzing progress for an agile team; and knowing when & how to extract greater details from the team to ensure there is clarity.Wear multiple hats, assisting different teams as needed in the testing and documentation process.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA degree).

Experience: A total of 4+ years of related work experience.  Strong technical writing experience, particularly understanding military documentation standards and manuals.

Clearance: Must be a US Citizen with an Active/Current Secret Clearance 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Interest/certification in Project Management certifications such as PMP, Scrum Master, Agile Product Owner, etc.Strong understanding of software development and testing life cycles.Ability to write clear, detailed, and accurate technical documentation.Strong communication and organizational skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Familiarity with military documentation formats and standards.Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.Experience with systems such as JIRA.

This position may offer a flexible remote working environment.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week.

Compensation: $92,400-138,600. The salary range posted is based on the national average. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
