GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF ROLE: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for capturing, analyzing, and documenting requirements to support initiatives involving various automation technologies including but not limited to low code automation, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and intelligent document processing. You will work closely with product owners, developers, and other stakeholders in an agile environment to deliver innovative solutions tailored to the insurance broking industry. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders, including product owners, clients, and development teams, to elicit, document, and prioritize business and functional requirements for automation initiatives. Agile Collaboration: Act as a bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring clear communication of requirements and user stories. Participate actively in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. User Story Development: Write clear, concise, and testable user stories and acceptance criteria that align with business objectives and technical capabilities. Ensure stories are ready for development with appropriate acceptance criteria. Process Analysis: Analyze current business processes, identify pain points, and propose improvements that can be achieved through low-code solutions. Assist in the design and optimization of business workflows. Stakeholder Management: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather insights, resolve ambiguities, and ensure alignment on project goals. Provide regular updates on project progress and any changes in scope. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including requirements specifications, user manuals, and training materials. Continuous Improvement: Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the agile development process and the effectiveness of the business analysis function within the organization. SKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. 5-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst in an agile environment, preferably with experience in the insurance broking industry Strong understanding of insurance broking and related processes. Proven ability to capture and translate complex business requirements into actionable user stories and technical specifications. Familiarity with agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
