Job Title: Business Analyst Location: Ashburn, VA - Hybrid onsite Role Type: Direct Perm / Salaried Clearance: CBP clearance required ALTA is looking for a Business Analyst to join a contract with a federal government client] in support of an important mission. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a great team while supporting the United States Customs and Border Protection. Responsibilities + Stakeholder Interaction: Engage with stakeholders and team members to understand requirements, research issues, and document effective solutions. + JIRA Administration: Create user stories and tasks in JIRA and assist in the administration of JIRA to streamline project workflows. + Customer Interaction: Interact with customers and end users to gather information, address inquiries, and ensure alignment with project objectives. + Process Management: Assist in managing the team's processes to facilitate the smooth progression of work, ensuring deadlines are met. + Team Collaboration: Foster effective communication within the team and with coordinating teams to enhance collaboration and synergy. Education and Experience + Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in business or project analyst roles within a technical team. Required Skills + Experience with SDLC projects using Java and Angular. + Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing. + Detail-oriented approach to documentation and process management. + Excellent diplomacy and communication skills with clients and technical staff. + Proactive approach to relationship building with business team members. + Strong self-organizational skills. + Experience with Jira or a similar project management tool. + Familiarity with agile development methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or Lean practices. + Proven ability to quickly grasp business functions and technical environments in new projects. Desired Skills + Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar certification/training. + Understanding of database structures and SQL. + Active federal government clearance.
