The Business Analyst will:
Lead efforts to analyze and optimize healthcare claims processes to improve accuracy and first-pass resolution rates.Gather and document business requirements to support configuration of Facets and related claims adjudication systems.Collaborate with IT teams to translate business needs into functional specifications for system enhancements.Analyze claims data to identify trends and bottlenecks, providing actionable insights for process improvements.Ensure technical solutions align with business goals and regulatory requirements.Collaborate with compliance teams to audit processes and develop risk mitigation strategies.Facilitate Agile ceremonies and use Azure DevOps (ADO) to manage backlogs, sprints, and work item tracking.Gather information to prioritize user stories related to claims enhancements and system configurations with steering committee and teams.Act as the primary liaison between business units, IT teams, and leadership to align goals and initiatives.Other duties as assigned.Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in IT, statistics, computer science, mathematics, information management, or a related field preferred.Minimum 3 years recent experience in Business Analysis with at least 6 years relevant IT experience overall.Experience in the Healthcare industry domain, including and especially Claims systems experience.Experience writing clear acceptance criteria to a testable level.Good SQL knowledge, with experience writing investigative queries, being able to step into and understand existing queries, and a firm understanding of multi-table joins.Good knowledge of APIs, including preferably knowledge of JSON notation, API objects, API endpoints (incl., how they're called, and what developers need to know to write them)Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies preferred.Experience working with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar software development tools preferred.Strong whiteboarding skills.Strong investigative, analytical skills, and interpersonal skills.Candidates must be local to the Chicago Metro areaCandidates must have permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer.Corp to Corp candidates will not be consideredOur pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
