Business Analyst - Financial Sanctions

This is a full-time, temporary role with a project scope of 12-18 months.

We are seeking a talented Business Analyst to lead the business workstream for our Financial Sanctions vendor replacement project. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact across our enterprise.

Role Overview: As a Business Analyst, you will report to the Corporate Compliance Director and play a crucial role in delivering the business workstream for the Financial Sanctions vendor replacement project. You will collaborate closely with Corporate Compliance, business, and IT teams to ensure that both business and technology objectives are met. Additionally, you will support business change management activities, including comprehensive business communications, training, and implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Business Delivery: Work with the Project Manager to identify, plan, and track project milestones. Manage technical and resource dependencies, and escalate issues to senior leaders as needed to ensure successful project delivery.Engage with Compliance Coordinators: Document business functionality and operational requirements. Conduct a thorough gap analysis to support business objectives and benefits.Develop Documentation: Create models, designs, and documentation using industry standards to support the new technical solution and develop end-user training materials.Collaborate with IT Teams: Ensure technical designs and requirements meet business needs. Diagnose defects and ensure technical deliverables align with business objectives.User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Lead the UAT phase by creating strategies, plans, and scripts. Manage defects and ensure all business teams complete UAT to deliver a functional and quality solution.Training and Implementation: Conduct training needs assessments and develop a training plan to ensure successful business implementation and user adoption of the new solution.Business Communications: Create and execute communication and change plans to ensure business awareness and participation in requirements gathering, UAT, and training.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a Mid-to-Senior Business Analyst/Business Systems Analyst in a medium to large IT organization, with experience in business system replacement projects.Skills: Strong understanding of multiple system integration approaches, requirements gathering, integration testing, and cross-team UAT strategies.Change Management: Proven experience in driving business change planning and implementation, with excellent communication skills across all organizational levels and regions.Analytical Mindset: Detail-oriented with a passion for driving business process excellence through technology.Industry Knowledge: Awareness of financial sanction management systems and processes is ideal. A background in the insurance industry is a plus.
