Business Analyst - Global Securities Financing

Work Environment:

Financial Markets (FM) is the Bank’s gateway to the professional markets around the world. Our primary function is to service the needs of ING’s clients with products, services and guidance. FM aims to be a significant player in our market leader and challenger markets, with an additional presence in all the major international markets and specialist expertise in selected emerging markets and products. Within FM, Global Securities Finance (GSF) is responsible for the borrowing & lending of securities and the centre of expertise of collateralized trading. GSF is building capabilities to expand the function of collateral trading and optimization for ING Wholesale Bank, enabled through migration from legacy trading and collateral management systems to a next generation platform.

Main Duties and Responsibilities of Role:

The FMGT Tribe is the change delivery department of Financial Markets (‘FM’) and Group Treasury (‘GT’) that has as purpose to realize our clients’ dreams by connecting them to global markets, providing financial solutions, and delivering long lasting value. We are looking for a subject matter expert in Securities Finance, specifically in International Equity Lending and Repo, to strengthen our team of customer journey experts as we implement FIS Securities Finance Trading & Collateral (SFTC) to replace Global One.     


As a Customer Journey Expert (CJE):

You will combine business expertise, product management, market and system knowledge to take a leading role in successfully delivering change initiatives.You will be the interfacing function between various stakeholders (Front Office, Ops, IT, markets, and software vendor partners) to understand the challenges and identify how technology and process can be used to solve them.You will represent the voice of the Business towards the rest of the organization..

Your responsibilities:

Act as primary Business Analyst on project to implement FIS "Next Gen" Securities Finance offering (SFTC) to replace Global One.Project responsibilities to include:-    Interface specification and testing-    Functional gap analysis between current and target solution-    Preparation and execution of functional test cases-    Vendor liaison for functional and QA issues-    Data migration approach and testing-    User trainingDrive the GSF Strategy for further Digitalisation of its core activitiesProvide solution design and visualisationSupport efficient change by providing impactful analysis on cross domain, end-to-end, complex environmentsStructure, simplify and solve issues on processes and systems.

Career Potential

Further expansion of strategic business capabilities to allow movement into a more senior role, such as Product Manager, Product Area Lead or Tribe Lead.

Qualification/Education 

Essential: Educated to degree level


Experience/Knowledge/Skills

5+ years background in Financial Markets and/or Treasury with in-depth experience in Global Securities Finance International Equities (must have)Project experience implementing Securities Finance applications (must have)Direct experience working with Global1 or SFTC applications (preferred)Experience with working in Agile/Scrum (preferred)You have a problem-solving mentalityExcellent communication skills (in English), communication and presentation skills (telling – selling) across different skill and seniority levelsYou are flexible and you easily adapt to a changing environmentYou enjoy working in a diverse and multi-cultural environment, you trust others and can be trustedYou strive to bring fresh ideas to life and embrace challenges in a fast changing and complex environment.
