Job Overview

The COO Risk & Finance (COORF) department delivers Finance & Risk related services to its stakeholders, i.e. Group Finance, Risk, countries’ CFOs and Wholesale Banking, Tax and Bank Treasury. These services encompass operations and change initiatives for accounting, reporting, credit risk, management reporting & analytics, ALM and tax, including system, processes, data and information management and analytics capabilities. By design, the services are reliable, secure and in control. Change is delivered in accordance with the Finance strategy and implementation and decommissioning roadmap. 

The Data Foundation tribe provides Finance & Risk with relevant, correct and harmonised data for its processing and to enable the change from report-driven to data-driven, while also enabling ING COO Risk & Finance to manage its end-to-end data flow in a structured and standardized way. 

We are looking for a Business Analyst in Data Foundation Tribe, a committed data believer who is willing to help us to lead ING towards that data-driven future.   

Key Responsibilities

You will participate in a squad as a Business Analyst. You will be actively involved in the daily operations, development and realization of current & new products/services for the users. You continuously deepen and broaden your knowledge and skills in your area of expertise within your team. 

Your activities will be in the area of: 

Daily operations – ensure data quality by performing daily checks to ensure correctness, completeness , reconciliations of daily  ledger and inventory data ;  Second-line support; end users support, user communication; document detailed Finance requirements; executing acceptance and other testing; involved in Change & Run the bank’s activities; developing/maintaining documentation to clarify the working of functionality for end users, such as RFCs (Request for Change) 

 Key Capabilities/Experience & Minimum Qualifications

We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic professional with a passion for data management in a Finance & Risk context. You are energized by working on concrete and tangible results in a complex and continuously changing environment. You know exactly how to empathise with the needs of your users and translate this into standard and innovative products. You have a clear vision on the area of expertise of the squad, including both good Finance knowledge and knowledge of the assets and tooling used. You have a strong drive to keep your expertise up to date and have the ambition to continuously improve yourself on a personal and professional level. You have at least 5 - 7 years experience in one of the following areas: Financial and/or Management Accounting;

Knowledge: 

Proven banking experience, finance and/or risk processes and product knowledge.  Knowledge & understanding of Financial accounting & reconciliation. Experience with data management, analyzing large data sets and data quality. Experience with Change delivery (impact analysis, configuration, testing) and in Regression and User Acceptance testing. Experience in reading & writing SQL (ORACLE) to analyse data in a database. Nice to have - Fixed Income & Bonds Equities, FX spots, swaps & derivatives. Interest rate swaps Commodity financing (commodities) and business intelligence (SAP BI) 

Education: 

University (Bachelor’s/Master’s) degree in (business/IT) economics or a comparable field. Clear English communication (verbal, writing) Excellent working with Microsoft Excel, knowledge on BI.  IT knowledge (Oracle DB, SQL). Self-organizing, proactive, motivated to solve problems   Good team-player & you like to work in a multidisciplinary squad You take responsibility to get the work done. You actively ask for help and feedback and are not afraid to give feedback. You continuously improve yourself and you help your colleagues in their development. Knowledge of Agile way of working.
