About the team

 

Our Technology team is the backbone of the business, building and maintaining the information technology infrastructure that support Coles Group. As a part of the Technology team, you get the opportunity to work through complex, challenging, meaningful problems using large data sets and new technologies to expand your skills and experience.

 

Primary Objective

 

The Business Analyst drives and manages the review and analysis of the monitoring & observability business intentions, services, processes by identifying & eliminating inefficiencies in monitoring and automation pipelines, creating tailored engineering process for AI driven IT operations including process, controls, and tooling.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

 

The ability to scope, analyse, refine and deliver requirements into useable processes, stories and artifacts to enable successful delivery of projects and initiatives. Supporting complex projects spanning multiple business units and IT areas Understanding of retail eco-system, software development life cycles, development methodologies, usability and accessibility Take the lead for investigative work to determine business requirements and specify effective business processes, through improvements in information systems, information management, practices, procedures, and organisation change Accountability for the development and translation of business strategies providing technical and lT solutions to business problems Builds strong partnerships with multiple business stakeholders through one or more defined communication channels and/or stakeholder groups, acting as a single point of contact Analyze and optimize monitoring and automation pipelines to eliminate inefficiencies. Collaborate with technology and support teams to enhance the usability and capabilities of platforms like Splunk and ServiceNow. Develop tailored engineering processes for AI-driven IT operations, including processes, controls, and tooling. Use quantitative analysis to design and document automation workflows, leveraging data to improve operational outcomes. Facilitate seamless integration between monitoring tools, ServiceNow modules, and other systems. Support the deployment of containerized solutions in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP). Maintain documentation and knowledge bases to ensure continuity and streamlined processes.

 

Good things you’ll need

 

ITIL Certification. Experience with containerized environments and observability tools. Hands-on experience improving workflows with data-driven insights.
