Business Analyst II, Buyer Abuse Prevention Machine Learning
Our mission as the Buyer Risk Prevention (BRP) organization is to make Amazon the safest and most trusted place worldwide to transact online. An essential part of this mission is to prevent buyers from abusing Amazon policies. Buyer abuse leads to reputational and financial loss for Amazon and our selling partners as well as a loss of trust from other buyers. As such, the Buyer Abuse Prevention (BAP) team designs and builds the software systems, Machine Learning-based risk evaluation systems, and operational processes that minimize risk and maximize trust in Amazon.com. The Buyer Abuse Prevention team is looking for a Business Analyst to work closely with its Machine Learning team.

As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for modeling complex problems, analyzing terabytes of data to discover insights, and identifying opportunities through the use of business intelligence, data mining, and visualization techniques. You will need to collaborate effectively with ML scientists, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to solve problems, create operational efficiencies, and deliver successfully against high organizational standards. The candidate should be able to apply a breadth of tools and analytical techniques to answer a wide range of high-impact business questions and present insights in a concise and effective manner. Additionally, the candidate should be an effective communicator capable of independently driving issues to resolution and communicating insights to non-technical audiences. This is a high-impact role with goals that directly impact the bottom line of the business.

Key job responsibilities
