Prime Video (PV) is a digital video streaming and download service that offers Amazon customers the ability to rent, purchase or subscribe to a huge catalog of content. Movies range from new releases to classic favorites, and PV also offers major television shows, entire seasons, and fast-follow content after airing on TV. Amazon’s video subscription offer service includes tens of thousands of movies and TV episodes selected from the full assortment available at Prime Video. In short, PV offers content in multiple formats and offer types for our customers to access and enjoy both their favorite shows and explore new titles.
Amazon Prime Video is looking to hire an insightful, results-oriented Business Analyst to join our team. This role is crucial in generating and driving analysis for the Prime Video Partner Operations team.
As a Partner Operations Business Analyst, you will bring innovation, a strategic perspective, a passionate voice, and an ability to prioritize and execute on a fast-moving set of priorities, competitive pressures, and operational initiatives. You will partner closely with program, product, and technology teams to define and build innovative and delightful experiences for customers. You must be highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively in a matrix organization, and have the ability to break complex problems down into steps that drive product development at Amazon speed.

- Solve ambiguous problems with less well-defined inputs and outputs; drive to the heart of the problem and identify root causes
- Identify, develop and execute data analysis to uncover areas of business opportunities
- Learn and understand the broad range of Amazon’s data resources and develop knowledge of how, when and which data sources to use
- Deep dive into massive data sets to answer key business questions using SQL, MS Excel and other data manipulation languages
- Build new reports/dashboards to enable emerging business use cases
- Partner with Data Engineering team to deploy new data technology
- Present written recommendations and insights to key stakeholders that will help shape effective selection expansion strategies worldwide
- Manage and execute entire projects or components of large projects from start to finish including project management, data gathering and manipulation, modeling and problem solving
About the team
The Publishing Operations Team (POPS) defines and ensures Prime Video meets the highest standards for content publishing. This includes owning future-proofing the digital supply chain, setting spec requirement roadmaps, improving partner delivery experience, and delivering programs that drive innovation and efficiency that enhance the global customer experience.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
- 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
- Experience with Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience
