Business Analyst II (Hybrid)

Overview This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office. This Business Analyst II position performs advanced data analysis to identify factors that affect business profitability, growth, and efficiency. Assesses current practices, collects information and industry trends, and creates specifications to support business operations. Determines improvements or solutions to address identified issues. Prepares technical reports by examining and summarizing data. May occasionally guide less experienced analysts or assist in development of process enhancements. Responsibilities Data Analysis - Sources, compiles, and interprets data. Analyzes data for accuracy and efficiencies, effectively communicates analysis output. Operational Support - Provides daily support for business operations by responding to inquiries, identifying issues, and working to improve, respond or implement practices related to controls, regulatory requirements, policies and standards, etc. Assists in implementing recommended modifications and enhancements. May serve as an analytics resource to wider organization or business units. Identifying Objectives - Determines overall business needs through analysis and reporting. Suggests strategies to achieve company and department goals. Assists in creating specifications, project plans, or other forms of documentation to communicate business initiatives to wider work group. Reporting - Produces reports based on data analysis, industry trends, and process capabilities. Conveys patterns, problems, and areas of improvement. Data Analysis - Sources, compiles, and interprets data. Analyzes data for accuracy and efficiencies, effectively communicates analysis output. A primary point of contact to communicate requests, identify key partners, gather responses, and coordinate remediation for the following: Regulatory requests – includes on-going Archer regulatory review items received from various Compliance and Risk partners. Audits – internal and external (i.e. KPMG). Compliance requests and events from external examiners such as FDIC & CFPB. RCSA related functions included annual Debit Card Ops & Credit Card Ops RCSA Refresh, Effective Challenges and Control Testing. SOX reviews, controls, and sample testing. Facilitate timely reviews and submissions for numerous annual requirements including: SOC -1 and 2 annual reports related to high-risk vendor services. Business Continuity Planning and related exercises. Card Operations Policy and credible challenge. On-going awareness, edits and implementation of policy and standard changes impacting Card Ops: Changes and additions to procedures, processes, and controls. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of experience in System Support or Analytics OR High School Diploma or GED and 7 years of experience in System Support or Analytics Additional Preferred Qualifications Experience with various controls & regulatory requirements applicable to a large financial institutions Experience in a debit card or credit card environment is preferred Adherence to and creation of polices and standards Benefits are an integral part of total rewards and First Citizens Bank is committed to providing a competitive, thoughtfully designed and quality benefits program to meet the needs of our associates.
