Job DescriptionAs an emerging professional Business Analyst Intern you will become a valuable contributor to one of Visa's dynamic technology teams. The Operations & Infrastructure Tech Management team provides infrastructure analytics and support for how assets are utilized and managed. The team focuses on projects that protect Visa's core business/brand, deliver cost efficiencies and make informed technology strategic decisions
· Assist product owners with execution of technology strategy, keeping a view of the operating expense impact of key decisions.
· Build comprehensive demand forecast models for software and hardware infrastructure components.
· Run SQL scripts to extract data from multiple data sources and have ability to normalize data to drive deployment insights.
· Identify expense reduction opportunities with product owners and create plans and tracking to ensure execution of cost reduction strategies.
· Review demand for new purchases with product owners, validate that the demand aligns with technology strategy and present analytics to compare Visa’s usage of similar products within the category
· Identify appropriate data sources to track deployment of different software across Visa and use the information across multiple sources to create deployment baselines
· Lead the team in delivering work products on consumption reports as well as other key initiatives that will help the Technology leadership to make strategic decisions
· Understand license metrics for different software types and create a pro-forma analysis for major deals within technology
· Run sensitivity analysis and create cost models to determine best possible solution for Visa in support of IT purchase decisions.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications:
Students pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field, graduating December 2025 or later. Strong communications skills, specifically, the absence of repeated grammatical or typographical errors, clear and concise written and spoken communications that demonstrate professional judgment.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Proficiency with SQL queries, data analysis and visualization tools
· Exhibit leadership capabilities to drive product strategies and large-scale projects with ambiguous scope into refined deliverables for executive consumption
· Demonstrated experience dealing with different software licensing methods in the industry
· Technical background to understand the key infrastructure products and understand the core concepts behind “running IT like a business”
· Solid analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to think strategically
· Understanding of data centers and IT frameworks preferred
· Experience in creating cost transparency and cost clarity programs for CIO/CTO office
· Ability to conduct research such as market size and trends, competitive analysis
· Ability to collect and analyze relevant quantitative and qualitative data sets
· Strong communication skills including written, oral, and presentation abilities
· FinOps exposure and experience managing Cloud Infrastructure
· Business and technical writing skills; executive level presentation skills
· Organizational agility and the ability to influence stakeholders and various levels of senior
Additional InformationU.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated hourly range for a new hire into this position is $27 to $31 which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. This is a hybrid position: Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office.
