The Position

2025 Summer Intern - Operations Project Management Office

Department Summary:

The Operations Project Management Office defines and maintains standards for project management within Operations. We provide templates, tools, guidance and standards for programs and projects. We manage organizational programs and projects for Global Operations in Tucson. We provide project infrastructure and standardization for organizational alignment, enabling the business to achieve its goals. 

This internship position is located in Tucson, Arizona, on-site.  

The Opportunity:

Typically supports others with systems, information management, applications and business process needs analysis. 

Helps others interpret technical requirements to meet business needs. 

May take the lead on business process design using various process improvement approaches/methodologies. 

Ensures system and process changes meet business needs by participating in testing of solutions and organising and running user acceptance testing (UAT). 

May prepare systems and process-related documentation, such as standard operating procedures, work instructions, user guidelines, etc. 

May also assist others in implementing systems/processes, including training others on new or updated systems/processes.

Program Highlights:

Intensive 12-weeks, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.

Program start dates are in May/June (Summer)

A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship. 

Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.

Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.

Who You Are (Required) 

Required Education: You meet one of the following criteria:

- Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (enrolled student).

- Must be pursuing a Master's Degree (enrolled student).

Required Majors:

- Business, Data Science, Statistics, Finance, Engineering

Required Skills: 

Analytical Skills: Ability to collect, interpret, and analyze data from various sources to support process and systems development.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication to effectively collaborate with subject-matter experts and present progress to leadership.

Problem-Solving: Capacity to identify key data points, overcome data acquisition challenges, and optimize process and systems workflows for accuracy and impact.

Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with coding software (e.g., AppSheet, OutSystems, etc.), or the ability to quickly learn similar tools, along with basic data handling skills (Excel, SQL, etc.).

Attention to Detail: Ensuring processes and systems are precise and reflective of real-world processes by validating data and incorporating feedback from stakeholders.

Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including operations and manufacturing experts.

Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting. 

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of  Arizona is $45.00-$50.00 hour.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off benefits.
