As a Steampunk Business Analyst / Scrum Master, you’ll be asked to serve as the Scrum Master and Business Analyst on an Agile software development team.

A Scrum Master must have experience managing Agile/Information Technology related projects and must be well versed in software development life cycle and project management methodologies.Scrum Master will oversee scrum team for key high-priority project for the client.Must be able to identify and mitigate risks. We are looking for a Scrum Master with excellent communication skills who can work with key stakeholders/customers to support planning and delivery of technical IT development Agile projects.Scrum Master will help define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects.Scrum Master will assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work; and mentoring and developing team members.Scrum Master will support managing customer expectations for project deliverables, managing stakeholder communications, and help to implement an effective system of project governance.Primary focus is making sure the teams are effective and focused on their work.Coaches the teams in their understanding of the delivery process, the agile mindset, and client values.Helps the team use their time wisely and avoid distractions.Serves business engagement by making sure team issues are escalated, worked, and resolved.As a Business Analyst you will lead the collection, capture, and management of mission user needs from prioritization, concept development, and feature writing to support development and deployment.Apply different techniques to facilitate meetings and workshops, create a shared understanding with stakeholders, and engage team-members to produce product and portfolio roadmaps.Collaborates with stakeholders and product teams to decompose large epics into features and user stories that can be understood and approved by members of the development team.Document Acceptance Criteria in stories in a way that both development team and business stakeholders can understand and agree on the content.

 

Qualifications

Authorized to work for any U.S. employer4+ year experience with Scrum/Kanban Methodologies4+ Years experience serving as the Product Owner or Scrum Master or Business AnalystBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to establish immediate credibility with clients, build consensus, and achieve goals through influenceAbility to help teams write user stories/epics, identify dependencies, and design optimal solutionsFlexibility to work with teams, individuals and executives and willingness to help with a wide variety of work products and peopleExcellent interpersonal/communication skillsExperience working in a studio / human centered design approachPMP preferredCSM, PSM, and/or SAFe certification required About steampunk
