SUMMARY:
Under general direction, the Sr. Business Analyst is responsible for complex systems process analysis, design, and simulation. Requires a high level understanding of organization's business systems and industry requirements. The Sr. Business Analyst is responsible for preparing feasibility studies, business cases, decision packages, project scope, and requirements, and for validating the business case, project scope, and project deliverables.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead, mentor and coach all business analyst activities of team members on projects and initiatives.
2. Establish “business intimacy” with Stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure thorough understanding of how the business works.
3. Work directly with and serve as a conduit between the Stakeholder community and the Information Technology teams.
4. Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
5. Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts and decompose high-level information into details
6. Proactively communicate and collaborate with Stakeholders and designated subject matter experts to analyze processes, gather requirements and deliver the needed artifacts (i.e., functional requirements, business requirements document, use cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs).
7. Identify alternative solutions to business problems, examine feasibility of options and determine the most feasible solution
8. Coordinate and execute change management activities, including communications, training, UAT, and other post validation testing, as needed.
9. Creation of the appropriate project artifacts to assist Executives with making decisions to invest in projects based on discovery, value, risk and findings.
Lead sessions with Delivery Team members to identify and resolve missing non-functional requirements.
Provide analysis leadership on business operations and complex systems and projects, often across assigned products, to support identification of automation and process improvement opportunities.
Research, gather, analyze, and document proposed system, functional, or procedural enhancements and solutions.
Ensure the integrity of assigned applications and systems through a disciplined approach to data management, process, and security.
Support periodic, critical project and business processing efforts; some non-standard hours may apply.
