The Business Analytics Analyst C09 is an entry level position within Analytics & Information Management & USPB Risk business. In the initial year of this position, the Analyst gains foundational knowledge and experience of the range of analytical & statistical processes, procedures and systems to be used in perform assigned tasks and a basic understanding of the underlying concepts and principles upon which the job is based. **Responsibilities:** Analysts work and add value to their teams while attaining core competencies in areas such as: + **Data Manipulation** : Incumbents work with large and complex data sets (both internal and external data) to evaluate, recommend, and support the implementation of business strategies + **Familiarity with Tools:** Identify and compile data sets using a variety of tools (e.g. SQL, Access) to help predict, improve, and measure the success of key business to business outcomes + **Statistical mind set** – Familiarity in basic statistics, hypothesis testing, segmentation, and predictive modeling + **Presentation & Visualization:** Knowledge of data visualization techniques to design effective presentations **Qualifications:** + Recent college graduate with 1-3 years of work experience. + Possess analytic ability and problem solving skills + Basic Statistics and Probability + Good Logical / Analytical / Quantitative /Reasoning + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills **Education:** + Bachelors/Masters degree or equivalent experience This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
