Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Marketing Technology / Content Supply Chain team member to oversee Marketing’s adoption and operation of the content supply chain - particularly focusing on Adobe Experience Manager Digital Asset Management Systems (DAM)/AEM Assets. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in optimizing processes, driving technology adoption, and ensuring our marketing systems operate efficiently to ensure seamless management of our content supply chain.
As a MarTech Business Analytics Lead, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, IT, Product, as well as internal and external Creative teams to enhance digital workflows, improve asset management practices, and deliver an exceptional customer experience across channels.
You will be based in one of PNC’s primary locations: Pittsburgh, PA; Philadelphia, PA; District of Columbia; Atlanta, GA; or Cleveland, OH. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion.
Responsibilities:
1. Technology Implementation:
o Lead and manage the implementation and optimization of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), AEM Assets, and other DAM platforms to support the marketing team’s digital asset management needs.
o Act as a subject matter expert on Adobe Assets and DAM tools, providing guidance on best practices, asset management strategies, and process improvements.
o Oversee integrations between DAM systems, AEM Assets, and other marketing tools (e.g. CMS, CRM, analytics platforms) to ensure seamless data and content flow and consistency across platforms.
o Support the troubleshooting of technical issues related to AEM Assets, and DAM systems, liaising with IT and external vendors as needed.
o Ensure data integrity and enforce governance policies across the DAM, ensuring assets are properly cataloged and accessible for global teams.
2. Process Optimization
o Define and develop a roadmap for the content supply chain platforms in line with Marketing’s vision and both intermediate and longer-term business objectives
o Develop and improve processes for asset lifecycle management, including metadata management, taxonomy,, usage rights management, and asset archiving to ensure efficient use of resources.
o Drive automation and process improvement initiatives to improve asset delivery times, and reduce operational costs (e.g. integration/consolidation of asset management tools).
o Lead initiatives to optimize AEM components and templates for better performance, scalability, and ease of use to support acceleration of content creation and availability. Work closely with Risk line of defense partners to mitigate risks and identify opportunities to implement and automate controls.
o Assess process breakdowns to prioritize improvement and innovation opportunities.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
o Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to streamline workflows related to asset creation, storage, distribution, and version control.
o Work with internal stakeholders to evaluate new technologies and solutions to enhance marketing operations and support business objectives.
o Provide training and support for marketing business teams on AEM and DAM tools, ensuring they have the knowledge to use the systems effectively.
4. Innovation:
o Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in marketing operations and proactively identify opportunities for innovation and present recommendations to leadership.
o Drive and support culture of innovation within the marketing operations team (e.g. direct to vendor print production content delivery strategy).
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Information Tech or a related field.
· 5+ years of experience working in a marketing technology role, with deep knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and AEM Assets as a Cloud Service.
· Hands-on experience with Digital Asset Management Systems (DAMs), including administration, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing the platforms.
· Strong understanding of marketing workflows and processes, including asset creation, approval, publishing, and archiving. Proven track record of driving process improvements in a marketing or creative operations environment.
· Experience with integration of AEM Assets with Adobe products - Adobe Analytics, Customer Journey Analytics (CJA), Target, and Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) – other DAMs and 3rd party marketing systems (e.g. CRM, CMS, and analytics tools).
· Hands-on experience with metadata tagging, asset taxonomy, and rights management best practices.
· Experience in permission management, including the creation of users, user groups, and permission management in AEM/AEM Assets. Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with marketing, IT, and creative teams.
· Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to aid IT with troubleshooting of technical issues.
· Proficiency in handling cross-browser and cross-platform issues (IE, Firefox, Safari, etc.) Exposure to HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JavaScript frameworks/libraries is desirable.
· Knowledge of AEM building blocks, including templates, components, dialogs, widgets, and bundles
· Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to guide teams through change and optimization initiatives.
· Experience in managing vendor relationships and external partners for DAM and AEM support.
· Knowledge of automation tools and technologies for improving marketing efficiency.
· Familiarity with analytics platforms and the ability to integrate them with AEM for performance tracking and optimization.
