Business Analytics Senior Advisor (Affordability Management Tool Development) - Hybrid

Summary

The role is a Business Analytics Senior Advisor on the Data Integration Agile team within the Digital & Analytics organization.

The individual in this role will be responsible for leading data analysis, specification development, product delivery, and product maintenance activities in support of the Affordability Management Tool (AMP). AMP is a suite of reporting and modeling tools that support the Contracting and Network Analytics organizations. This team is specifically focused on the backend data that is required by the AMP tools. Data delivery can range from simply making existing data accessible, to generating completely new complex data assets.

The individual in this role will work within an Agile team, but also partner with various business and technology teams across the organization.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with key stakeholders, business partners, and IT partners to manage scope, understand key requirements, and develop solutions

Embrace and support the Agile “Product Mindset”. Ensure that the highest value work is being delivered in a way that not only meets the customer’s need but delivers incremental value frequently

Prepares for and participates in key planning sessions, cross-functional meetings, and Agile ceremonies

Conduct data discovery to solve for complex data requirements. Utilize analytics and reporting tools to investigate complex data issues and identify solutions for implementation

Writes features and user stories that clearly communicate stakeholder needs, with clear descriptions, examples, and acceptance criteria

Conduct testing and validation of new work. Own final signoff before code is released into production

Develop and maintain team and user documentation in support of data products

Ensure effective and timely communicate with team members, stakeholders, and leadership

Be a subject matter expert and point of contact for internal and external business partners

Qualifications

5+ years' of healthcare experience solving business problems or needs through the application of data and analytic approaches

Strong technical skills and hands on experience required to extract, analyze, and validate large and complex data

Strong healthcare data knowledge with emphasis on claims and provider data; claim grouper and claims pricing experience is highly desired

Skilled with data analysis tools; SQL, Python, Alation, Databricks preferred

Experienced in applying a combination of analytical, technical, and business acumen; able to produce and document business requirements that will be translated into technical solutions

Must be a problem solver; strategic thinking is required; must be able to track to goals and deadlines in the context of the big picture

Proven ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed environment

Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and work effectively in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment

Able to independently prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities to achieve goals and drive results

Motivated by new opportunities for data discovery and problem-solving; adaptable and interested in learning new tools and data sources

Experience with Agile development methods and experience using tools in agile development such as Jira is preferred


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 109,500 - 182,500 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
