**ABOUT THE JOB (JOB BRIEF):** Under some supervision, the Business Analytics Sr. Associate is primarily responsible for the formulation of hypotheses, translation of data, and generation of insights to inform business decisions centered around HR analytics. Through the use of standard reports and analysis of moderately complex data, the Business Analytics Sr. Associate identifies trends and outliers and suggests solutions to resolve business challenges or implement process improvements. Success criteria include: leveraging business acumen and anticipation of business partner needs to generate own work / analyses; developing a “client ready” work product; collaboration with broader analytics teams and with a diverse group of business partners to provide solutions and recommendations; and ability to tell a compelling story to stakeholders with data.
**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:**
+ Identify trends and opportunities for growth through analysis of complex datasets. Correlate activities to outcomes.
+ Proactively analyze data to answer key questions for stakeholders or yourself, with an eye on what drives business performance, and investigate and communicate which areas need improvement in efficiency and productivity, make process improvement suggestions
+ Mine data and integrate various data sources and types to create a holistic view of the client and business opportunities (internal/external, client attributes and behaviors, transactional, market, competitive, etc.); work with technology partners to improve and expand the data based on LOB and HR needs
+ Leverage knowledge of KeyCorp and LOB strategy, business, and competition to anticipate needs and make recommendations, develop insights, deliver analysis, and provide solutions to increasingly more complex business problems; connect day-to-day work of team to the “bigger picture”.
+ Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis, with reporting components from multiple data sources
+ Develop and maintain a pipeline for transitioning manual reporting to an automated reporting function
+ Develop and deliver presentations that include the right data and “tells the right story” to business partners
+ Effectively communicate key points to respective stakeholders, with the right amount of detail
+ Lead conversations with business partners and executives
+ Leveraging knowledge of strategy, business, and competition to connect day-to-day work of team to the “bigger picture”.
+ Enhance existing LOB demand reports using user feedback sessions
+ Collaborate with cross-functional partners to strengthen data quality and governance across the people data ecosystem to minimize data errors, and to ensure proper access and scope protocols are maintained and documented for sensitive data
+ Be a trusted thought partner for HR and LOB leadership to perform ad-hoc reporting requests that measure workforce efficiency in support of strategic organization decisions.
**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Master’s degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Financial Mathematics, Statistics, or the Natural Sciences and 3 years of relevant experience; or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Financial Mathematics, Statistics, or the Natural Sciences and 5 years of relevant experience
+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel / PowerPoint and query writing/coding with ability to perform queries of large datasets
+ Developing data visualization skill set
+ Ability to learn the process of consuming data from the data supply chain
+ Building knowledge / experience with analytical programming languages

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $80,000 to $140,000 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
