**Job Description:**
This role works closely with other business analysts and operational subject matter experts. It requires a moderate understanding of financial management, enterprise resource planning, human resource management and timekeeping/scheduling systems. Collaborates with functional teams such as Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, Supply Chain, and Information Technology.
**Job Description**
The Senior Business Application Analyst is part of a centralized, enterprise-wide business applications team responsible for overall functional support and configuration of applications in their area(s) of accountability.
This position will play a key role in Intermountain’ s Workday ERP Financials implementation, serving as the lead for the Customer Accounts workstream.
**Essential Functions**
+ Works independently; mentors junior staff. Initiates or participates in RFP process and/or build analysis for software solutions. Actively involved in industry forums and user groups and surfaces industry trends and best practices for system and operational roadmap consideration.
+ Leads implementation and optimization with focus on specific areas. Configures complex modules within applications.
+ Manages medium scale projects through the project life cycle. May include but not limited to the creation of timelines, dependencies, deliverables, analysis, testing, and deployment. Facilitates risk mitigation. Works on projects at an enterprise level. Provides consultation, data analysis for clinical and business stakeholders across the organization. Communicates technical and analytical concepts to others.
+ Troubleshoots complex issues related to system functionality ensuring it's stability security, and performance. Collaborate with business stakeholder to understand functional needs and translate into system requirements and configurations. Lead the design, testing, and implementation system solutions, enhancements, and integrations. Provides technical support and troubleshoot issues and coordinates with vendor support. Supports complex configurations and process builds.
+ Develops training documentation and knowledge-based materials used by peers and end-users on system functionality and best practices.
+ Advance functional domain and technical expertise in financial management, supply chain enterprise resource planning, human resource management, or timekeeping/scheduling systems. Collaborate with stakeholders and development teams
+ Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation of configurations and procedures
+ Responsible for development of complex ad-hoc custom reports or integrations. Maintains a comprehensive understanding of types of information used in area of expertise, how the data is produced, consumed, transformed, and analyzed to support business decisions. May be involved in supervising less complex custom reports or integrations.
+ Consults and actively works with business areas and project teams to assess needs for the various business functions. Translates business functional requirements into functional design documents adhering to industry best practice, regulations, and industry and institutional controls. Creates technical design documentation and executes on system and process solutions
+ Responsible for testing and deployment, including but not limited to patch or service pack testing, defect research, general testing, and deployment support. Follows standard testing methodologies
**Skills**
+ Advanced knowledge of financial management, enterprise resource planning, human resource management, or timekeeping/scheduling systems including proficiency in configuration, reporting, and security
+ Excellent communication skills, including experience leading cross-functional team meetings and presenting complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
+ Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in data-driven decision making
+ Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
+ Strong attention to detail and the ability to document processes and procedures
+ Advanced knowledge of information technology, healthcare, or business operations
+ Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Demonstrates a strong knowledge of financial management, enterprise resource planning, human resource management, or timekeeping/scheduling systems.
+ 3-4 years of experience working in a Business or Applications Analyst role.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
+ 5+ years of experience working with Workday ERP, UKG Workforce Pro, or Strata.
+ Professional, vendor-specific certifications
+ **Workday Financials** or other ERP system experience strongly preferred.
+ **Accounting experience** strongly preferred.
