Job description
We are seeking a Business Central Functional Consultant to join our client's team within the manufacturing industry. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the successful implementation, optimization, and configuration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to meet the specific needs of the client's manufacturing operations. You will work directly with the client's team to ensure alignment with business processes and industry best practices, enabling efficient and effective use of Business Central.
Key Responsibilities:
* Business Central Implementation: Lead the implementation of Business Central for the client's manufacturing processes, ensuring seamless integration and configuration to align with business needs.
* Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Collaborate with the client's team to understand business requirements in manufacturing operations, mapping those needs to Business Central functionality.
* Process Optimization: Support the client in optimizing manufacturing processes such as production planning, inventory management, supply chain, and order processing within Business Central.
* System Configuration & Customization: Configure Business Central modules related to Production, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, Supply Chain, and Sales & Distribution to meet the client's specific requirements.
* Integration & Data Migration: Assist in the integration of third-party systems and manage data migration processes to ensure a smooth transition to Business Central.
* User Training & Support: Provide training and support to end-users on the proper use of Business Central, driving successful adoption across the client's manufacturing teams.
* Troubleshooting & Support: Provide ongoing functional support to the client's team, resolve system issues, and recommend process improvements or system upgrades.
* Collaboration: Work closely with the client's team, including project managers, technical consultants, and other stakeholders, to deliver high-quality, tailored solutions on time.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience: 3+ years as a Business Central Functional Consultant, with a focus on the manufacturing industry.
* Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, including production processes, inventory management, and supply chain management.
* Business Central Expertise: Proven experience in configuring and implementing Business Central modules for manufacturing, including Production, Inventory Management, and Warehouse Management.
* Process Mapping: Experience in mapping business processes to Business Central and providing recommendations for process improvements.
* Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to identify client needs and propose tailored solutions.
* Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with the client's team and translate business needs into technical solutions.
* Certifications: Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications or related credentials in Business Central (preferred but not required).
Desirable Skills:
* Manufacturing Software Knowledge: Experience with other manufacturing or ERP solutions is a plus.
* Project Management: Experience in managing or contributing to project timelines and deliverables.
* Change Management: Ability to guide the client's team through change management processes and ensure smooth system adoption.
