Dow has a great opportunity as Business Communications Specialist based in São Paulo (BRA).
In a fast-changing external scenario, it is essential to be connected to the latest trends for customer engagement, leads generation and nurturing and how to connect online and offline activations to provide a great customer experience, bring new business opportunities and reinforce our positioning in the value chain.
This position will work within Dow Packaging and Specialty Plastics business around Latin America, driving our digital strategy, marketing communications for our segments and internal communications activities.
The selected candidate will lead our digital content strategy, develop and implement marketing communications strategies and campaigns for customers and other relevant stakeholders, position and promote Dow products and services by creating unique product/brand positioning activations and through trade media relations, advertising, customer communications and events, and digital and social media. They will also lead internal communications activities targeting the business unit team in the region.
This position works very closely with marketing in order to transform the marketing plans into key strategic initiatives that grow the business. With a customer-centric mindset and an outside-in perspective, this position is key to bringing an innovative approach to the way we interact with the value chain. It interacts with the business leadership as well as the Public Affairs team, connecting the business needs with the broad corporate positioning strategy, granting alignment and effectiveness.
The specialist will work in a team that values different ideas and points of view and respects people’s opinion. There is room to propose and implement cross-segment and cross-business projects, collaborate with global peers and bring your fresh perspective into the group.
Responsibilities / Duties
Collaborate with digital and marketing teams to create and deploy digital marketing strategy, including updates to market websites, email campaigns, and social media content.
Collaborates with marketing to develop and implement integrated marketing communication strategies and projects with minimal supervision.
Participates in events management and trade shows along with other marketing communication related events such as new product launches, seminars, gallery walks, conferences, corporate social responsibility, community relations, etc.
Leads quarterly internal webcast content strategy in partnership with business leadership.
Manages product advertising and promotion in media suitable platforms.
Develops creative as well as media planning/buying, and editorial pitches.
Manages agencies (digital, creative, public relations, etc.)
Collaborates with Public Affairs and Marketing colleagues across the globe to leverage best practices and lead marketing communications plans.
Qualifications:
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or related fields.
3 to 5 years of relevant experience (i.e., Marketing Communications, Business Communications, Corporate Communications etc.)
Languages:
Intermediate English and fluent Portuguese (both spoken and written) is a must.
Your preferred qualifications include:
Deep understanding of strategic communications, content marketing and media engagement.
Robust knowledge of emerging digital trends, tools, analytics and measurement (ROI).
Experience in a B2B company.
Advanced Spanish is a differentiator.
