Business Consultant
**Business Consultant** **Location:** This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations. The **Business Consultant** acts as a liaison between IT and business and is responsible for translating moderately complex and varied business needs into business requirements with technical impacts. Possesses full technical knowledge of most phases of project life cycles, including systems and business impacts, and is able to consider the business implications of the application of technology to current and future business environments. **How you will make an impact:** •Lead discovery and requirements refinement sessions to uncover customers’ business, functional requirements and synthesize requirements to create clear and comprehensive high level as well as extensive detailed business requirements with acceptance criteria •Analyzes complex end user needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs •Determines specific business application software requirements to address complex business needs •Assess options for process improvement, including business process modeling •Validates all process documentation with both business and IT leadership •Develops requirement traceability matrices enabling traceability to both the project plan and test plan. •Partner with cross functional teams – business, programming, and testing staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into system design and testing •Expected to become an expert in the project systems and outcomes and act as subject matter resources for program details •Provide direction and guidance to team members and serves as an expert of financial risk operations requirements **Minimum Requirements:** •Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 8 years business analysis experience, which should include analysis and project management; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background. •Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook) •Excellent written and verbal communications skills •Strong organizational and analytical skills •Ability to effectively present complex concepts to various levels including leadership •Knowledge of healthcare payer systems, capabilities and business operations **Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:** •Knowledge of Agile/Safe practices •Program management experience •Knowledge of claim processing •Knowledge of financial systems •Knowledge of finance operations •Basic SQL skills For candidates working in person or remotely in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $81,320 to $154,080 Locations: (note: only include the actual jurisdiction(s) where the job is posted) California; Colorado; District of Columbia (Washington, DC), Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada; New York; Washington State In addition to your salary, Elevance Health offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
