Job Summary:
The Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) Lead is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s business continuity and disaster recovery plans, with a focus on IT systems and infrastructure. This role ensures that the company can continue IT operations and quickly recover from a disaster or business disruption. The BCDR TPM collaborates within IT and with external departments to identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and test plans regularly.
A day in the life…
Plan Development and Maintenance:
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive IT-focused business continuity and disaster recovery plans.Conduct risk assessments and business impact analyses specific to IT systems to identify critical business functions and processes.Collaborate with IT department leads and key stakeholders to develop and update recovery strategies and plans.System Resilience and Redundancy:
Ensure the redundancy and resiliency of critical IT systems, including servers, databases, networks, and cloud services is present and has been verified.Work with IT teams to implement failover mechanisms and backup solutions that meet company and industry standards.Monitor and maintain the effectiveness of IT disaster recovery solutions.Testing and Training:
Coordinate, conduct and document regular disaster recovery testing and business continuity exercises for IT systems.Develop and deliver training programs and materials to educate IT staff on business continuity and disaster recovery processes and procedures.Document test results and identify areas for improvement; ultimately reporting those opportunities to executive leadership and applicable stakeholders.Incident Response:
Serve as a key member of the IT incident response team during a business disruption or disaster.Coordinate IT recovery efforts and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.Ensure timely and effective recovery of critical IT functions.Documentation and Reporting:
Create and maintain detailed documentation of all IT business continuity and disaster recovery plans, procedures, and test results.Prepare and present regular reports to senior IT management on the status of the BCDR program.Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.Continuous Improvement:
Monitor industry trends and emerging IT threats to continuously improve the BCDR program.Recommend and implement improvements to enhance the organization’s IT resilience.Stay current with regulatory requirements and ensure the organization’s plans are compliant.You own this if you have…

Pay Range Details
The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.
Washington: $141,000 - $258,000 AnnuallyThis position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
